Cromwell purposely passed Harte, evidently preferring to pitch to those who followed him. Mahan was the first of these, and he tripled. In the second inning, Fripp started the play with a single, and in quick succession stole two bases. Speilman here relieved Cromwell, and forced Percy to foul to Gilmore. Bothfeld, the next man up, drove the run across by singling to left. The scoring ended with one more run in the fifth, on the occasion...
