...much like the term politics, a word that opened too easily onto whole vistas of abandoned ideals and fishy dealings, something he was sensitive about as a businessman accused of bootlegging and stock manipulations. What Joe preferred was the more sanitary phrase public service. All the same, Joe's main notion of public service was the kind that gets you a seat in Congress and then a desk in the Oval Office. So when it came to choosing their lifework, Kennedy's sons had no options. Long before voters ever heard of Jack, Bobby or Ted, their father aimed them...
This movie is quite bad. Example: the house grows eyes and almost eats the main character. The Haunting, starring Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones, had few entertaining surprises (I admit it; I screamed once), but for the most part the characters are under-developed and there simply is no atmosphere. In the intervening months AOL's Instant Messenger user base has bulked up to about 25 million, more than the number of subscribers who pay to use AOL's main services. Still, as with all free Internet services, the numbers of active user accounts are undoubtedly inflated by the ease of registering. And despite these large audiences, no one has figured out how to make any money on the free chat service, except to note that the client program commands an outsized amount...
