...Afghan who was prosecuted for converting to Christianity and eventually found asylum in Italy: As a British-born Muslim with royal Afghan ancestry, I find it deeply disturbing that Rahman was treated unfairly because of a corrupt interpretation of Islamic law. Tribal leaders intentionally misinterpret Islamic law to maintain power. No one should be forced to accept Islam, for submitting to coercion is not the same as heartfelt acceptance. Such twisted and extreme misuse of Islamic law affects Muslims as much as it affects non-Muslims. Syed Ansar Khan Wimbledon, England Followers of other religions who convert to another faith...

...Attorney Paul Perez put it in a statement, "Because of the painstaking work of the prosecutors and agents who pursued this case, al-Arian has now confessed to helping terrorists do their work from his base here in the United States - a base he is no longer able to maintain." But given all the buildup, the resolution of the al-Arian case seems far from a clear-cut victory, and the government's triumphant tone speaks volumes about its less-than-stellar record in federal anti-terrorism cases...

Better to allow Palestinian infighting that will likely destroy any chance of creating a coherent Palestinian response to Olmert's plans. Then again, even if Israel doesn...

Hanson and Eckert are in fine form during the intense moments, but incongruously maintain that high pitch when called upon to be less emotional. These moments are few and far between, however. The intensity of the play isn’t limited to the lines and their delivery. The instant the audience enters the theater, the near-mad franticness of the play takes hold...
