...addition to rural development and pacification, I will pay particular attention this year to the matter of land reform-and in a revolutionary manner. If the government works for a better life for the people, they are ready to cooperate. The population likes progress. ...there is something missing in all our lives, and there is something radically wrong with us as a country. Thus far we have peered somewhat foolishly at America through the positivist telescope that Marx built a century ago rather than analyzing ourselves in a softer, less "scientific" manner. We are, I think, an attentive and sensitive people, needful of homily and love and sense in our dealings with the world of ideas, with which, after so long a battle with material things, we are scarcely accustomed to dealing. As Monmouth himself, Timothy Clark works hard and reads intelligently (when he is given intelligent lines to read), but is unable to convey either age or weight. He, and Susan Yakutis, who performs more than creditably as Nell Gwynn...

...Festival, to be held April 14 to 21, will be a loosely-structured mixture of several art forms. "It is an attempt to cover the diversity of contemporary art in a manner that people can enjoy what they want to without searching for themes," Jed R. Horne '70, Festival chairman, said yesterday...
