Spots and Peaks. Since Chateaubriand, like his country, was a latecomer to art collecting, the classical, medieval and Renaissance periods are only spottily-though sometimes handsomely-represented. There are two Titians, a Raphael Resurrection of Christ, a Mantegna St. Jerome, a commanding Velásquez portrait.
