It would not budge. He lit a match and observed that the mirror over the washstand was fogging from his breath. Scared stiff, he grabbed -a razor and forced it between the door and its frame. This admitted a little air, a chink of light. By diligently manipulating the razor Captain Margesson made a big enough hole to keep breathing, then he went to work...
