...Democrat Kathleen Brown is inching up in her race against GOP Gov. Pete Wilson, although her gains among those likely to vote are less dramatic. According to a Los Angeles Times poll, Brown lags 48 to 45 percent behind Wilson, but the difference is within the poll's error margin. Two weeks ago, Brown trailed by eight points.
