During the years 1926-18, Colonel Marix was District and Departmental Commander of Marines in Santo Domingo. Later for a period of 16 months, he was on duty as United States Naval Attache for Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Colonel Marix returned to Santo Domingo in 1920, occupying for a year and a half the positions of Minister of Justice, Education, and Foreign Relations on the staff of the Military Governor.
