...been the policy of the Athletic Committee so far as possible to accumulate enough money to replace the unsightly wooden seats on Soldiers Field, and to improve the property outside of the old dyke, removed when the driveway was made. Few students today realize what Longfellow Marsh and Soldiers Field were five years ago.
