...characters' antics. Though all of the parts they play are similarly ridiculous, the ability of the three actors to cover in one form or another the pantheon of Shakespearean roles without becoming excessively confused is no small feat. Amblad goes from flight attendant, to especially silly Romeo, to a Martha Stewart-esque "Titus Androgynous" running a cooking show with a revenge theme, where the main ingredient is the rapist. His approach to the reductionist difficulties of "head pie" has all the confidence and self-possession one would expect of the woman herself. Opposite him in this scene is Green, with...

Before one critical word is written about comedian and television personality Jon Stewart's book Naked Pictures of Famous People, it must be noted that one of the stories in the book is entitled "Martha Stewart's Vagina." Let your feelings on that be your guide to this book...

The sonata is a turbulent, impassioned work that seems almost schizophrenic in its frenetic metric upheaval, alternation of fast and slow and its jagged leaping between notes, and thus the overly-vigorous attacks that seemed so out of place in Bach seem most appropriate here. The piece obviously requires the attentions of a virtuoso, and Shaham...
