...your Jan. 19 issue, you state that the court-martial which tried Dorothy Krueger Smith for the murder of her husband found her guilty of first-degree murder by six votes to three and sentenced her to life imprisonment; that "a unanimous verdict of guilty would have made the death sentence mandatory." This is not correct.
