Today is one of very unusual activity among the different athletic teams. The University nine, the track, cricket, and lacrosse teams, the junior and the freshman nines all have games, while the fencing club has a match with Columbia, and the Whist Club settles its tournament with Yale. Of all these, the annual University track athletic games on Holmes Field will have a monopoly of the interest in Cambridge. We are glad that there is no other athletic event of importance to distract attention from them...
...seventh shoot in the handicap series was held yesterday afternoon. There was also a match for the Founder's Cup. The scores in the handicap match were: Sargent, 25; Lawton, 25; Du Pont, 23; I. Kinnicutt, 23; Sterling, 22; Fincke, 19; Knoblauch, 18; and Dove, 13. In the Founder's Cup match, each man shooting at 15 birds, the following scores were made: Sargent, 13; Lawton, 13; Dove, 13; Sterling, 12; Du Pont, 10; and Fincke 8.
