Seven of the nine matches in the last series of the interclass tennis tournament, now between the Seniors and Freshmen, were played off yesterday. The Seniors won four out of seven matches. One match was stopped by darkness with the score, 6-4, 3-3, in favor of the Freshmen, and the other will be played today. The series is being keenly and closely contested, but the chances seem slightly in favor of the Seniors. The summary of yesterday's matches is as follows...

With the first set of backs in, the second was no match for the University's tandem, and playing very hard and fast football, the latter broke through to the second's secondary defense on every play. The second set did not play together as well and failed to help along the man with the ball for such steady gains. Gilbert played a good individual game and made some 15 and 20-yard end runs. On the second, Osborne was transferred from tackle to halfback and in addition to his excellent onside kicking, was the best ground gainer...
There will be no tennis matches today. The finals in the doubles will be played early next week, consisting of the following match: C. C. Pell '08 and G. P. Gardner '10 vs. N. W. Niles '09 and A. S. Dabney '09. The interclass tournament will begin on Monday...
