With the first set of backs in, the second was no match for the University's tandem, and playing very hard and fast football, the latter broke through to the second's secondary defense on every play. The second set did not play together as well and failed to help along the man with the ball for such steady gains. Gilbert played a good individual game and made some 15 and 20-yard end runs.
