With the season winding down, the men’s water polo team found itself needing two wins at Fordham on Saturday to earn an easier first-round matchup in the postseason. For the first time all year, the team put together a three-game win streak and showed it has worked the kinks out of its system. A strong defensive effort against Iona led to a 5-2 win in its first match. ...beating Princeton last weekend. The Crimson’s tie and loss in Ivy play make for an inauspicious start. However, in a league where any team can win anytime, Harvard is far from out of the running. The Crimson hosts Rhode Island at Ohiri Field in a nonconference matchup on Wednesday before resuming Ivy play against Cornell in Ithaca on Saturday. —Staff writer Carrie H.
