...Thames,--the first two university crews, the Freshman crew, and a "Cosmopolitan" crew, the last composed of four university and four freshman substitutes. The boats had their first practice from their new quarters on Monday, and hereafter will row twice a day under the supervision of Coach Mather Abbott. After a period of jockeying for position which was prolonged by the effects of a fair tide, the two crews were started by Coach Mather Abbott of Yale at about 5 o'clock. Yale is anxious to resume the annual Thames regatta with the University this year on a pre-war basis, according to Professor Mather Abbott, faculty director of rowing at Yale.
