...springboard because of the photograph shown above-which was widely circulated by Pacific & Atlantic news photo service the day after Mr. Pond (aged 70) performed his difficult feat. For Mr. Pond to have turned aerial somersaults from a springboard is remarkable. For him to have turned them from the mat is all the more remarkable.
