Boeing, the primary developer of the International Space Station, is also leading the consortium to build the hotel, and would not rule out that it could be used to house vacationing civilians. It suddenly appears that the trillions the U.S. sank into its space program in the '80s may have been more than simply hubris, creating an infrastructure that will allow it to corner the potentially lucrative private market for space travel in the 21st century. No word yet on the publishing date for the Lonely Galaxy Guide...
