Huzzah to Ted A. Mayer and Harvard Dining Services (HDS) for the improvements we have seen this year on our trays and in our serveries. Mayer, who is now finishing his first year as the director of HDS, deserves praise for his "students-first" attitude...
Thanks to Mayer's efforts, upper-class students will soon have the option of receiving bag lunches at Loker Commons. For many, this is a pleasant alternative to trekking back to the Houses for their midday meal. Not only is it convenient, but it will also reduce the overcrowding in dining halls such as those in Lowell, Adams and Quincy.
