...number of the Advocate which comes out today is hardly up to the standard. The best thing in it is a "Change of Costume," by R. F. Maynard, and although the plot has seen better days; it is worked up very simply and naturally to the only possible conclusion. A sonnet, "Spiritus Victus Amore," is the kind of a poem one of which is almost sure to turn up in every number; it reads along smoothly enough and does not mean anything in particular. G. H.
