Gathered in the Red Lacquer Room of the Palmer House for a ceremonial banquet to Librarian Roden were the University of Chicago's President Robert Maynard Hutchins, Northwestern's President Walter Dill Scott, Episcopal Bishop George Craig Stewart, 250 other citizens.
