Curiosity about next year's presidential nominations grows keener as time goes on, though the situation does not clear up yet. This, offers excellent opportunity for the guessers and prognosticators. The New York Herald has a despatch from Washington which says that ex-Secretary McAdoo's aspirations for the Democratic nomination are now taken for granted. It adds that they are based on the assumption that President Wilson had definitely decided not to be a candidate for renomination, and will devote the rest of his life to leadership of the League of Nations and to literary pursuits.
