Unlike the highly professional Mondale and Glenn organizations, McGovern is relying on a close-meshed, down-home team to propel him into his desired third or fourth place in New Hampshire. The man who runs the machine, George Cunningham, also ran McGovern's two congressional and five senatorial campaigns.
