Then, on Monday, Captain McIntosh, Commander Collins, Deans David and Smith, Professors Baker and Bates not only began to explain the rhetorical "A case is a case is a case," but soon made us feel once again a dynamic (even if still quite lowly) part of the Navy. Yes, we were here to study, and to eventually do a job. That made us feel much better, looking forward to that day when we might come through with an "Aye, Aye, sir" in the full sense of the word...

...Massachusetts Avenues (Mass. Ave. Station), and first on the programme are "unlimited cocktails" until 1845. Featured on the dinner will be Mushroom Soup, Roast Beef and Strawberry Sundae, garnished with Midshipman entertainment, some tavern harmony led by "Jake" and a very few remarks from the honored guests. Captain McIntosh, Lieutenant Commanders Hesser and Collins, and Lieutenant Anderson are expected to be an board, and Deans David and Smith, and Mr. Bates of the Harvard faculty have also been invited. That will be a party to remember or I miss my guess...

...homer by the WAVES' athletic instructor, Ensign Fay Corey, Our Side made ten runs to the faculty's twenty, and the only argument now is whether the players or the cheering squad had more fun. It was worth the walk to Soldiers Field and back just to see Captain McIntosh posing for the camera as a leather-lunged umpire, cap on the back of his head with the be-spinached bill behind...
