...Gordon, Kenny Drew and a couple of great Danish performers. They are under the Steeplechase label and seem to provide the logical link to the pre-electric era of the 1960s. Perhaps the finest of the series is the two-record collection The Meeting and The Source with Jackie McLean sitting in on alto with Dexter on tenor. Dexter's The Apartment has some excellent moments also. Dexter fled the U.S. because nobody appreciated his greatness. Fortunately, he's back to haunt...
