AFFIRMED. A gold medal for PAUL HAMM, 22, U.S. gymnast; by a sports tribunal; in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Court of Arbitration for Sport, in a case brought by South Korean gymnast Yang Tae Young, decided that it would set a dangerous precedent to withdraw Hamm's medal from the Summer Olympics in Athens, despite a scoring error that cost bronze medalist Yang a crucial one-tenth of a point, which would have been enough to win him the gold...
...imagine what the band does on its tour bus--but it is also unavoidable. Which makes the success of the Donnas all the more impressive. These four twentysomethings cracked the SNL barrier in 2002 thanks to their major-label debut, Spend the Night, and on their new album, Gold Medal, they flower fully into woman rockerhood, teasing dirty young men with innuendo about sex and power ("Already met your mom and dad/ Said I'm the best one you've never had") while inspiring young women with entendres about sex and power...

Just don't tell the boys. --By Josh Tyrangiel
...varsity entry in the Men’s Club Event had a similar ending for the Crimson rowers, but not for lack of effort. A boat composed entirely of juniors and seniors beat the nearest boat by 18 seconds. The victory, however, was short-lived. Upon arriving at the medal ceremony, the rowers found that their gold medals had been substituted for a heated protest. Opposing coaches complained that the Harvard eight violated eligibility requirements...
