Though handicapped by the smallness of the floor the 1924 quintet overcame the Tufts freshmen by the score of 27 to 18 last night in the Goddard Gymnasium at Medford. The University Freshmen started off the game with a rush that swept the Tufts men off their feet and left them still scoreless when the Freshmen had won 9 points. Tufts took time out to talk things over near the end of the first half and when they came back into the game they made two more baskets, leaving the score at the end of the first half...

This evening at 8 o'clock the University Freshmen will meet the Tufts 1924 five at Goddard Gymnasium, Medford. ...Tufts College and the University quintets will meet this evening at 8 o'clock in Hemenway Gymnasium. Coach Wachter will send the same team against the Medford collegians which faced Wesleyan last Saturday, although Chase will probably substitute for Feiring for a part of the game. The combination as they will line up is the strongest the coaches have been able to put together, being well-balanced and aggressive. The individual players have the two qualities on which Coach Wachter lays special stress, condition and spirit. Captain Tolbert has had trouble lately with a painful foot, but will...
