Dartmouth holds a slight edge in the two relays, where the meet could be won or lost if one team takes both events, and is relatively weak in the individual medley. After recording a fine 51.7 fly leg on the opening medley relay he came back to swim a sets good 2:00.9 200-yd. IM a little more than a second off Brumwell's school record Yntema saved the best for last, however is he bettered the University record for the 200yd fly with an excellent 1:56.4 clocking. The time erased John Munk's 1969 standard...

Dave Brumwell, who appears to be in the best shape of his career, is an easy bet in his two specialities, the 200-yd, Breast stroke and the 200-yd individual medley. Freshmen Tom Wolf, who set a University record in the 200-yd, back stroke in his first varsity leads it straight back contingent, but John Craig and Roy Geronomous may have to work slightly harder for a sweep in the butterfly...
