New York's major malpractice insurer, the Argonaut Insurance Co. of Menlo Park, Calif., which has raised its premiums by a total of 200% in the past year, is leaving the state entirely on July 1. ...California walkout was the most drastic response yet to the steep rise in premiums set by one of the nation's leading malpractice insurers, Argonaut Insurance Co. of Menlo Park, Calif. (TIME, May 5).
