Meredith, now of Pennsylvania, when he was at Mercersburg Academy. Willcox let M. B. Orr, the interscholastic champion, lead the race for the first 220 yards, and then suddenly passed the latter by a beautiful burst of speed. From then on Orr repeatedly tried to overtake Willcox, but the latter proved the better, finishing about two yards ahead of the Exeter...
