Oh yeah, there's agreat instrumental version of Led Zeppelin's"Whole Lotta Love" with King Curtis screaming outRobert Plant's vocal line on his sax, producing aprophetic marriage of funk/soul orchestrationswith heavy metal...
...billed catchily if incorrectly as America's first female serial killer for her murder of seven men, is playing theaters. There is also an unsavory but frenetic market in serial-killer collectibles. Fans are swapping trading cards of their favorite murderers. Dahmer T shirts are big sellers at heavy-metal concerts, and a comic book celebrating his exploits ( has all but sold out to buyers. Most bizarre, collectors are paying up to $20,000 in posh galleries around the U.S. for Gacy's paintings of eerie clowns; the killer used to dress up as "Pogo the Clown" to entertain neighborhood...
Many teachers feel overwhelmed by classroom chaos. Last month the CPS started using metal detectors in the schools. "Kids are just more aggressive now," says teacher Arthur Leahr. The underappreciated follow-up, Paul's Boutique (my personal favorite Beasties record), was one of the first...

Tracing the conspiracy back to April 1992, DePippo wove together phone calls, fingerprints, chemical analysis, chunks of metal and parking stubs into a narrative that led to the on-ramp of the B-2 parking level of the World Trade Center. Throughout the tale, he clearly delineated the roles of Mohammad Salameh, Nidal Ayyad, Mahmud Abouhalima and Ahmad Ajaj in the criminal partnership...
