Tunneling from the cellars of neighboring buildings proved the most effective rescue method. Forty crushed and bloody corpses were soon recovered, and 26 wounded men no less bloody. Last spring Radio Corp. of America organized as a subsidiary R. C. A. Photophone Inc. to exploit a method of making and reproducing sound-pictures.
