Last week witnessed hard work and important contests for all the athletic organizations. The baseball team particularly had three hard games, winning two out of the three played. In the first of these games the team defeated the strong Syracuse nine by a score of 5 to 0; Meyer, the Yale pitcher, allowing but two hits during the entire game. On Wednesday the University nine was defeated by Brown by the score of 1 to 0, although no errors were credited to the Yale team.
