Alpha, 121 Newbury St., has an exhibit of 19th and 20th century American photographers--Ansell Adams, Edward Steichen, Bernice Abbot, Walker Evans and other biggies. Through Feb. 23. A similar exhibit called "New Exposures" is opening at the MFA Feb. 21. Lastly, if you haven't seen them yet, run over to the Carpenter Center and take a look at the VES 40 photographs.
