Kazimierz Michalowski, 79, Polish archaeologist who headed an international team that dismantled, and then reconstructed on higher ground the magnificent Egyptian temples at Abu Simbel in order to save them from flooding caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam in the 1960s; of unannounced causes; in Warsaw.
