...really, the onlookers are the stars. At the final countdown to midnight, we CDEs festooneed them with confetti. The words to "Auld Lang Syne" flashed on one of the JumboTron screens for a million-person singalong. Cameras sent pictures of good cheer and warm passion around the globe.
