Volunteers living near four major European airports with night flights - in Athens, Milan, Stockholm and London - took part in the study published this week in the European Heart Journal. Study participants were outfitted with ambulatory blood pressure monitors, which were programmed to take readings at 15-min. intervals throughout the night. The volunteers' bedrooms were also equipped with an MP3 recorder and a noise-meter, which recorded all ambient noise, its timing and its volume. Researchers considered a "noise event" to have occurred if any sound, from road traffic, aircraft or a partner's snoring, exceeded 35 decibels...

...Freshman forward Matt McCollem scored an unassisted goal with just 1:03 left after stealing the puck on a Union clearing attempt and beating goalie Justin Mrazek with a high shot. After that goal, Mrazek would leave the game after only 20 minutes in net, and Corey Milan would take over for the rest of the night.Despite the fast start, the Crimson is still somewhat frustrated that the team was not able to maintain its assertive style of play in the third period and allowed the Dutchmen to gather momentum and net two goals in the third...

...like footballers' wives, but others are smart businesswomen who want to carry something special into the boardroom," says Jo Trafford, who founded the service with her policeman husband in July. Since then, Trafford has bought nearly $200,000 worth of bags, sourced directly from fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan and New York City. The ever-expanding collection reflects client requests and takes inspiration from Hollywood. Recent additions include the Gucci Indy, which Mischa Barton made last summer's It bag, and five Bow Bags by Los Angeles designer Adonia - a favorite of Jennifer Aniston...

...emboldened Kosovo's Serbs, who still make up just under 10% of the province's population. Their leaders in northern Kosovo are threatening to secede themselves if Kosovo breaks away. "Albanians don't want to be ruled from Belgrade; we don't want to be ruled from Pristina," Milan Ivanovic, head of the hard-line Serbian National Council in the northern town of Mitrovice, told TIME. "There is an impression," he added ominously, "that Serbia will not make any radical moves if Kosovo declares independence. That is wrong. If they try to kick us out by force, Serbia will...
