Amid coffee and Milano cookies, Kennedy School Assistant Professor Asim I. Khwaja encouraged students to donate their time and energy as opposed to their money to relief efforts to help victims of the earthquake that struck Pakistan and India last October. ...Like the view of Shanghai, many of Delano's China photographs, on exhibit in November at La Triennale di Milano Museum in Milan, Italy, use the tools of the darkroom to make a familiar scene eerie or allegorical. Delano shoots in black and white, but he prints in black and gray. His photos look as if they've been rubbed with charcoal and might smudge if touched.
