...like those big beards on boys; they don't look congruous to me--although the Bible says you shouldn't cut off your beard or the edge of your hair. the Nazarene. But we were brought up ... not to wear torn shabby clothes. Certainly the girls with the mini-skirts are really ridiculous in some cases. And the boys in the horrible jeans don't look so hot either...

...schools themselves have yet to make any significant impact on school systems or on the mass of ghetto populations. None goes beyond elementary school (though most have ambitions to expand further) and Philadelphia's Mantua-Powelton Mini School probably tops the enrollment figures with 150 students. Since they draw no funds and only small numbers of children from the public schools, school administrators can afford to ignore them. Posner's NVF Co., a Delaware mini-conglomerate (annual sales: $30 million), offered a package of debentures and warrants backed by so few assets that Sharon accused him of planning to raid its coffers to bail NVF out of financial trouble. Even Posner's prospectus admitted that the combine might well earn too little money...

...Merchant's and the Wife of Bath's. The dialogue is all in rhyming couplets, which is rather like spending the evening on a date with a metronome. The stories mainly feature an aging cuckold, a harridan somewhat uglier than sin, and a blonde mini-bombshell named Sandy Duncan, whom nature has cunningly fashioned for everything except acting. In the key roles of the Steward and the Wife of Bath, George Rose and Hermione Baddeley are formidable contenders for a much-needed Hammy Award...
