Mr. Kelley feels that the article is in bad taste, and it seems to me that the feeling obscures for him the undoubted truth of Mr. Seldes' charge that, "cultural activities" do take a very minor part in college life. ...Minor injuries are still handicapping the Yale football team, but the coaches are driving the remainder of the squad at top speed. On Tuesday Scovil retired in the middle of practice with a slightly wrenched knee and although it is expected that he will start the game against Princeton Saturday, he did not report yesterday and in all probability will not be given hard work previous to the game. Carter has not scrimmaged since his injury last month, but it is hoped to get him into condition for the contest with the University on November 21. Higginbotham is still lame...
