...varsity nine played a short practice game with the freshmen on Holmes field yesterday afternoon. The batteries exchanged so that Bates pitched for the freshmen and Minton for the 'varsity. The Ninety-four team was very unsteady at first and threw all over the field, and as the balls were simply tossed over the plate, the 'varsity made over a dozen runs in the first inning.
