DIED. Frank Tallman, 59, Hollywood's top stunt pilot, who crashed countless old "Jennys" into barns and mountains without mishap; in a private-plane accident while trying to land in a violent rainstorm; in Santa Ana, Calif. A naval aviator during World War II, Tallman barnstormed throughout the next two decades in a legendary partnership, called Tallmantz, with Pilot Paul Mantz, who also died in a crash.
