...John R. Mott, Ph. B., A. M., LL.D., was born at Livingston Manor, N. Y., in 1865. He attended Cornell University, receiving the degree of Ph. B. from that institution in 1888. Entering Y. M. C. A. work upon graduation, he became a student-secretary of the international committee of the Y. M. C. A.
