Lyman has been a member of the Yale Mott Haven team since his freshman year. In the games of 1891 at New York he won third place in the 120 yards hurdle race in which Williams took first. In the University Track Athletic games of 1892. he took first in the high hurdles but was beaten at New York by Harding. This year also he won first in the high hurdles at the University Track Athletic games, but in the Intercollegiates was beaten by Van Ingen of Yale...
...Mott-Haven team, consisting of thirty five men in all, will take the noon train today for New York on the New York and New England Railway. A special car will leave Harvard Square at 10.30. The team will take lunch in the dining car and stop at the Winsor Hotel, N. Y. ...Mott Haven team should receive a rousing send off this morning. The hour at which the car leaves the square is inconvenient, but for this very reason every one should made a special effort to be on hand. There is no other team which has brought so many victories to Harvard. Our success in this line of athletics has been most gratifying, and the team deserves the heartiest support of the university.
