Special permission has been secured from Franklin D. Roosevelt '04, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, to enhibit the Government film entitled; "America Preparing," in which the various aspects of the nation-wide movement for adequate defences will be shown. "War As It Really Is" will be another of the films to be shown. This picture was photographed by D. C. Thompson, war correspondent of Leslie's Weekly, while he was under fire. It is recommended by the United States Naval War College, and reveals actual trench fighting, and the Germans marching through Belgium...

...Medical School of the University has united with the medical schools of Tufts College and Boston University in a movement to give instruction in military medicine. Lieutenant Colonel W. P. Chamberlain '97, of the Medical Corps of the army, and Surgeon G. F. Freeman '96, of the Medical Corps of the navy, have been delegated by the Government to give a course of instruction at the University. This is part of a general movement on the part of the medical schools of the country to prepare students so that they may serve as medical officers in the army or navy...
