Daniel Patrick Moynihan, professor of Government and New York senatorial candidate, returned to Harvard last semester from a stint at the United Nations, and was greeted by a packed house at his introductory lecture on "Ethnicity in Politics." A police officer stood guard at the Sever classroom door to insure that the class would not be interrupted by reporters.
