From a look at the green-toned ads put out by companies such as Ford and the Southern Company, you would think that those in the executive suite spend their days meditating on the wisdom of John Muir and Henry David Thoreau. On the other hand, a look at the day planners of their Washington lobbyists suggests that as soon as these same executives step out of the public eye, they set loose their minions to undo every piece of environmental legislation past, present or future.
