...Rotten Tomatoes Gathers movie reviews from far and wide, and reports box office and other stats; flicks receive a critical average on the 100-point "tomatometer." Movies.com also gets a nod for streaming episodes of "Statler & Waldorf: From the Balcony," an Ebert & Roeper spoof starring those lovable muppet-curmudgeons...

...Google guys can be tough sells. Page, a computer geek from Michigan who as a boy idolized inventor Nikola Tesla (you know, the guy who developed AC power), has a Muppet's voice and a rocket scientist's brain. Brin, born in Russia and raised outside Washington, is no less clever but has a mischievous twinkle in his eye. When he drops little asides--"Let's make the little windows actually explode when you close them," he tells a group presenting new desktop software--no one seems certain whether to laugh or start writing the computer code. ...MUPPET SHOW SEASON 1 SESAME STREET was always a bit of a grownups' show in short pants, but this variety series, debuting in 1976, truly transcended demographics with its wacky skits, musical numbers and sharp show-biz humor. Here they finally shake off their youthful jam-band fascination and write some songs. From the ecstatic atmospherics of Wordless Chorus to the crackling What a Wonderful Man, singer Jim James is expansive without being lazy. If they still pack in an odd, trippy tune about kittens on fire (Into the Woods), it's perhaps because some jam-band habits are harder to break than others...

...ZANES AND FRIENDS: HOUSE PARTY The Muppet-haired guitarist of '80s indie-rock band the Del Fuegos now makes eclectic folk rock for kids. House Party combines covers of the familiar (Jamaica Farewell) and the obscure (the rollicking Tennessee Wig Walk) with crafty originals, like the R&B-inflected House Party Time. And the cast of surprise guests, such as Deborah Harry and Bob Weir, will give you an excuse to inflict Blondie and Grateful Dead albums on your children later...
