Scheungraber's conviction marks the end of what is likely to be one of Germany's last Nazi war-crimes trials. John Demjanjuk, 89, is currently sitting in a Munich prison awaiting trial, after having been charged with being an accessory to the murder of 27,900 Jews while he was a guard at the Nazi concentration camp Sobibor.
