Worldwide, only about 76 babies have been born as a result of PGD. So far the procedure has produced healthy children for parents who were carriers of cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other even rarer genetic conditions. But the procedure is still experimental, and mistakes can be tragic. At least one child has been born with cystic fibrosis as a result of laboratory error...

...genres: action, horror and erotic thriller. The icons: muscular folks like Michael Dudikoff and Cynthia Rothrock, curvy sirens like Shannon Whirry and Monique Gabrielle. The plot: some nasty person is spying on and terrorizing some pretty person. The basic props: knives, candles, swimming pools, satin sheets. And everywhere bosoms--bosoms so large and preternaturally firm, thanks to the miracle of plastic surgery, that the question arises: Are they live or are they Mammorex? Despite his muscular build, Senakwami, 30, is not quite a world-class athlete. He's a music teacher who came to New York City in 1987 to further his career. In the meantime, he fulfilled a lifelong "obsession" with water and taught himself to swim. Despite an awkward technique, he was a fast learner. The Togolese took a leave from his job with the Boys Choir of Harlem and began training six or more...

A former Likud official recalls that Netanyahu was much impressed by Ronald Reagan's approach to the Soviet Union, and an Israeli official sees a continuum of influence from Netanyahu's father through Kirkpatrick and others...

...just plain boring. None of the songs move much faster than a beverage cart down the cramped aisle of a passenger airplane. Faith, Michael's first solo album, was appealing partly because he seemed to be working so hard to entertain us--songs like Hard Day featured sweaty, muscular dance rhythms; ballads like One More Try had amusingly earnest vocals. Michael's new songs are too concerned with seriousness and maturity to break a sweat. In his attempt to make music that's restrained, adult and timeless, he's instead crafted songs that seem exhausted and out of date. Listeners...
