Kelly could give no information as to the whereabouts of this material. The court also has shown that Kelly, who earned $51,000 net income in 1950 on a salary of $12,000, had deposited $1,000 on September 5. The court is presently trying to show that this $1,000 is the "bribe" money. But Kelly contends that it was only payment from an insurance company for an accident case settlement...

Several meetings and letter-exchanges later, Wallace gave the project his blessing and let TIME have access to a wealth of confidential information about the Digest. We were able to publish approximate figures on their gross earnings and net profit. Digest offices overseas described their operations in detail. In interviews which lasted for hours, Wallace and his wife, Lila Bell, searched their memories for incidents and anecdotes of the Digest's early years. Digest Business Manager Albert L. His mark of 50 goals in one season (1944-45) is an alltime League record (and one of the nine he now holds). Last week, Richard was again far ahead of the field in goals scored this season. And at week's end, Richard was hot on the trail of another record: the lifetime mark of 324 goals...

Increased production, sales and prices raised Anglo-Iranian's net profit in 1950 to $94.5 million (v. $51.6 million in 1949), the biggest ever earned by a wholly British corporation. Despite the nationalization trouble, stockholders will get their regular 30% dividend* or 84? a share. Iran's slice for 1950 was $45 million in royalties. If Iran had accepted the company's 1949 proposal to increase royalties, Iran's 1950 royalties would have been $94 million. This year, said Sir William, under a new proposal for a 50-50 profit split, Iran would have received about...
